mb102 development board review. Breadboard Power Supply MB102 Power Module mb 102

The MV-102 breadboard, which has four pairs of relays for connecting power and grounding, will help you create a functioning prototype of the microcircuit. The platform has 830 holes for easy and quick installation of contacts between various elements of the prototyped device. This allows you to assemble any prototype and carry out all the necessary experiments without such a labor-intensive and time-consuming process as soldering contacts. The central field of the platform has five rows of contacts, each of which has 126 holes. Two more rows of 100 contracts are located on the sides of the breadboard.

The platform is made of impact-resistant plastic; on the reverse side there is double-sided tape for fixation in the designed device. The solderless development board MV-102, the price of which is affordable for all customers, is used by both beginners and experienced fans of radio technology. The platform contacts are made of gold plated, and the conductors are made of nickel alloy. You can also buy a development board MV-102 for designing large-area microcircuits. The platform has special grooves for connecting with other platforms to create a layout field of the desired size.

Breadboard Power Supply MB102

The module is a DC voltage stabilizer. Has two exits. Generates simultaneously two output fixed voltages at each output of your choice. The names MB102 or MB-V2 are used to indicate the type of device; the marking 545043 is used on the board. We offer version 2.0 of the MB102 stabilizer on our website.

The design of the device allows for easy installation on an Arduino EIC-102 solderless development board or Arduino EIC-402. The breadboard dimensions are 165 x 55 mm. You can use the Breadboard Power Supply MB102 power supply module to supply power to a device that is powered from a USB port. Voltage stabilization is performed by two microcircuits connected in series: AMS1117-5.0 and AMS1117-3.3 The microcircuits have protection against overcurrent and overheating. When the 5V regulator is turned off, the 3.3V regulator stops working. To indicate power-on, the board has an LED powered by a voltage of 5 V, and there is also a push-button power switch.

Characteristics

Input DC voltage 6.7 - 9 V
Output voltages 3.3 and 5 V
Maximum total load current of two stabilizers 0.7 A

Installation and connection

When installing the stabilizer module on the Arduino breadboard, be careful to observe the polarity of the power supply. Correct installation module is possible only on one side, but due to the coincidence of the holes, you can mistakenly place the stabilizer on the other side of the breadboard. On the protrusions of the module board near the contact pads of the downward-facing connector pins there are markings “+” and “-“. It must be set so that the “+” sign corresponds to the red stripe, and the “-” sign to the blue one. Thus, the MB102 power module provides simultaneous power supply to the upper and lower pairs of power rails of the Arduino breadboard.

Thanks to the jumpers located near the protrusions of the board, you can, by looking at the markings, set the voltage supplied to each pair of power conductors. Installing a jumper on the two middle conductors turns off power to the switched lines. If both outputs are jumpered to disable, the LED will not light.

Closer to the middle of the stabilizer board there is an eight-pin plug. You cannot install jumpers on it. The plug provides connection to the power wiring harness for devices located outside the breadboard. On contacts USB power supply connector having a type A, voltage 5 V to supply power to the corresponding devices through USB cable.
Voltage is supplied to the stabilizer through a round connector. For this, a DJK-02A plug is used; its contact part has dimensions of diameter 2.1 x 5.1 mm, the central contact is plus. To prevent problems in the event of a polarity error, the module's input circuit further contains a diode in this connector.

Precautionary measures

USB is one of the device's outputs. Do not use the USB connector as an input to connect the module to power. This will damage the 5 V stabilizer chip and USB port. For long work stabilizer in various projects, we provide precautions. During operation, you should avoid critical modes in which the current consumed by the load approaches the maximum permissible value and avoid overheating of the microcircuits, despite the fact that the MB102 power module has own funds protection.

At first glance, the MB 102 board is no different from the most ordinary breadboard, but it is good for prototyping. The board's power supply is designed for 6-12.5 Volts. Either 3.5 or 5 Volts can be installed on both sides.

The board itself is easily installed in the breadboard. It can be attached both from the edge of the breadboard and in the very middle. It is better to install it a little further from the edge, because when connecting power, the connector will constantly bend somewhere.

Power connection

After connecting the power, you need to press the start button. The green indicator will light up, indicating power is on. By default, the jumper is set to 3.3 Volts, you can verify this by taking a measurement. If you move the jumper to 5 volts, then the readings will accordingly change by five. All this was done on the right channel.

The left channel has separate power supply. In other words, you can do with the two tires as you please.

You can perform different experiments. For example, connect LEDs and make them blink.

First impression of the development board

She is good. The power module is also not far behind in quality. Everything works without glitches. The set also contains a huge number of cables, with which you can connect almost anything to the breadboard.

For entry level- It's a great choice. Contributes to starting to get interested in electronics, and over time, who knows. Maybe he can become a radio amateur.

The power supplies 3.3 and 5 Volts.

You can connect some resistors to the breadboard. Build simple diagrams.
